Welcome to WILD: Dwight’s High School Outdoor Program

WILD (Wilderness Instruction and Leadership Development) is Dwight School’s signature outdoor program for high school students. Aligned with Dwight’s mission to develop global leaders who can thrive anywhere in the world, WILD challenges students to grow through immersive wilderness experiences in some of the planet’s most stunning and demanding environments.

Through hiking, paddling, and scuba diving expeditions, students build resilience, leadership, and a strong sense of community on transformative adventures.

Thanks to generous support from the Foundation, WILD provides essential gear—including tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, and stoves—so students can participate without the financial burden of purchasing expensive outdoor equipment.

Students pursuing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award can complete their Adventurous Journey requirement through WILD. Priority is given to active DofE participants, followed by upperclassmen.
